Q: What is in Blue Hawaii that makes it so pretty?

A: Thank you. This Flavor is made with organic coconut, Madagascar Vanilla, and pea flower.

Q: Where is the complete list of ingredients?

A: Please refer to VIK’s online store. All ingredients are posted. www.valleyislekombucha.store

Q: Why is your kombucha in a clear bottle?

A: It’s a personal choice. We believe transparency indicates authenticity, and want our customers to drink with their eyes before they purchase.

Q: Is VIK available in stores on the mainland?

A: Not yet, but VIK is in high demand, that’s why we offer free 2-Day shipping nationwide.

Q: Why is Valley Isle Kombucha so expensive.

A: VIK is the highest quality kombucha on the market. Every flavor is brewed with the freshest, most pure ingredients you can find on the island of Maui.

Q: Why does kombucha contain sugar?

A: Without sugar, kombucha cannot ferment. The sugar in Kombucha is for the culture to consume, not for you. When done fermenting, there will be about 2-6 grams per 8 ounce glass of unflavored Kombucha. By contrast, an 8 ounce glass of orange juice has about 24g of sugar. Natural carrot juices have 13g per 8 ounces. If fermented longer (i.e. 3 weeks or longer) sugar levels in Kombucha may be even lower – Recommended for diabetics and others with low sugar tolerance.

Q: Does Valley Isle Kombucha contain caffeine?

A: Kombucha is generally considered to have about ⅓ the amount of caffeine as the tea it is made with, so for example: black tea (what Valley Isle Kombucha uses) which might have 30-80mg of caffeine per cup may yield a glass of Kombucha with 10-25mg of caffeine.

Q: Why doesn’t VIK use cans?

A: Selling kombucha in cans could undermine it's premium positioning, and the product could fade into aisles filled with soda, energy drinks and cheap beer. Aluminum cans also can’t provide the transparency that glass can, which is a value-add that shoppers increasingly view as a staple.

Q: How long does Valley Isle Kombucha stay good?

A: Aloha! As long as Valley Isle Kombucha is kept cold, it will stay fresh up to 5 months.
