FAQs

Q: What makes Blue Hawaii such a beautiful color?
A: Blue Hawaii gets its stunning hue from organic blue spirulina, blended with organic coconut and organic vanilla for a refreshing, tropical taste.

Q: Why do you use clear bottles?
A: We believe in transparency, literally and figuratively. Our clear bottles showcase the vibrant colors of our kombucha, allowing you to “drink with your eyes” before taking a sip.

Q: Is Valley Isle Kombucha available on the mainland?
A: Yes! Please check our store locator for the most up-to-date list, or contact us to request availability in your area.

Q: Why does kombucha contain sugar?
A: Sugar is essential for fermentation; it feeds the live cultures, not you. By the time fermentation is complete, nearly all of the sugar has been consumed, leaving a naturally tangy, low-sugar beverage.

Q: Does Valley Isle Kombucha contain caffeine?
A: Kombucha has about ⅓ the caffeine of the tea it’s made from. Since we brew with black and green teas (which average 30–80 mg of caffeine per cup), a serving of Valley Isle Kombucha contains around 10–25 mg of caffeine, about the same as a decaffeinated coffee.

Q: How long does Valley Isle Kombucha stay fresh?
A: Aloha! When kept cold, Valley Isle Kombucha stays fresh for up to 12 months unopened and approximately 5 months after opening.
